Mrs. Cheng has over 20 years of experience as a paralegal, and over 12 years as an enrolled agent. Mrs. Cheng previously enjoyed a rewarding 13 year career as a speech pathologist before changing career paths. Mrs. Cheng began her legal career working for the senior partner of a Dallas law firm where she handled estate planning, probate and civil litigation matters, implemented a pre-paid legal services program, and organized and managed paraprofessional staff. Following her move to California, Mrs. Cheng worked at the Office of District Counsel for the IRS where she handled Tax Court cases involving tax fraud, tax shelters, and unreported income issues.

Mrs. Cheng also worked on collection cases involving offers in compromise, writs of entry and summons enforcement. Mrs. Cheng was a trained COTR (contracting officer’s technical representative) which gave her the opportunity to draft contracts to specification for expert witnesses used at trial. During her employment with District Counsel Mrs. Cheng was the Laguna Niguel Quality Improvement Process Team Leader for two years where she led a group of her peers and superiors in completing several phases of the Quality Improvement Process before leaving. Mrs. Cheng joined our firm in 1995 and is responsible for cases including audits and collection matters, and assisting attorneys with all aspects of cases including drafting pleadings, correspondence, bankruptcy discharge analyses and legal research.
