CHRISTINA M. LYNCH joined the Law Offices of A. Lavar Taylor, LLP in 2017. Ms. Lynch graduated with her Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law and is currently working towards her masters in tax. Ms. Lynch anticipates having her LL.M in Taxation from the University of San Diego School of Law by December of 2017. Ms. Lynch holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration in Finance from San Diego State University. She is admitted to practice law in California as a member of the California State Bar.
Prior to private practice, Ms. Lynch has dedicated much of her time to government and pro-bono service. Ms. Lynch’s tax experience includes an externship with the Internal Revenue Service Office of Chief Counsel where she conducted settlement conferences, prepared cases for trial and appeared in federal court on behalf of the Internal Revenue Service. Ms. Lynch was also a volunteer income tax preparer with Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program where she assisted low-income taxpayers with filing their income tax returns. While there, she also reviewed tax returns prepared by other VITA volunteers. She also interned at the Federal Tax Clinic at University of San Diego School of Law where she assisted indigent taxpayers in resolving their multitude of tax issues. Additionally, she interned at the Department of Homeland Security – U.S.C.I.S. in Laguna Niguel where she prepared cases and recommendations for the Board of Immigration Appeals.
