A. Lavar Taylor Files Supreme Court Brief

Taylor Nelson Amitrano LLP is pleased to announce that A. Lavar Taylor filed an amicus brief this week in the U.S. Supreme Court case of Commissioner v. Zuch in support of the taxpayer, Jennifer Zuch. In Zuch, the U.S. Supreme Court will decide an important issue of tax procedure involving the jurisdiction of the Tax Court in Collection Due Process cases.
Mr. Taylor, in his amicus brief, advocates for a broader jurisdiction of the Tax Court, so that the rights of taxpayers will be protected. Mr. Taylor and the firm have a robust tax controversy practice. As part of that practice, Mr. Taylor has authored numerous amicus briefs filed with the U.S. Supreme Court and the Courts of Appeal in support of the rights of taxpayers, and he regularly handles appeals on behalf of taxpayer clients to the Courts of Appeal and the U.S. Supreme Court.
